Ingredients
- Servings: 12
- 2 cups wheat bran
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 cup raisins
- 2 cups buttermilk
Recipe
- 1 mix together all the dry ingredients.
- 2 stir in the buttermilk and let stand in a warm place for 1/2 hour before scraping into an oiled loaf pan.
- 3 preheat the oven to 350°f.
- 4 bake for 30 to 40 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the middle.
