Chicken Bow Tie Pasta

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/2 lb bow tie pasta
  • 3 -4 boneless chicken breasts (cooked and chopped)
  • 1/3 cup red onion (chopped)
  • 6 -8 slices bacon (crumbled)
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Recipe

  • 1 cook chicken breast in 2 tbsp of oil until lightly browned and no longer pink in center.
  • 2 chop chicken into small pieces and set aside.
  • 3 melt margarine in skillet over medium heat.
  • 4 add 1 cup of half and half to skillet.
  • 5 bring to a boil then reduce heat to a simmer, stirring constantly for about 20 minutes until sauce starts to thicken slightly, (sauce will not get real thick).
  • 6 cook pasta as directed on box while sauce is thickening.
  • 7 add onion and cooked crumbled bacon to sauce and cook for 5-6 more minutes.
  • 8 add pasta and chicken to the skillet and mix well.
  • 9 serve after chicken gets warm.
  • 10 add salt and pepper to taste.
  • 11 sprinkle with parmesan cheese, if desired.
