Cindy's Pasta Sauce

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 (28 ounce) cans tomatoes, peeled crushed
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons basil leaves, dried
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 in a 5 quart dutch oven, heat oil over medium heat. add onion, garlic and parsley. cook stirring, 1 minute. add remaining ingredients. bring to a boil. reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, 45 minutes.
