Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 (28 ounce) cans tomatoes, peeled crushed
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons basil leaves, dried
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Recipe
- 1 in a 5 quart dutch oven, heat oil over medium heat. add onion, garlic and parsley. cook stirring, 1 minute. add remaining ingredients. bring to a boil. reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, 45 minutes.
