Cottage Cheese Lokshen Kugel

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 lb cream-style cottage cheese
  • 3 cups sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter, divided
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 lb wide egg noodles (cooked)
  • 3/4 cup raisins
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 set oven to 350°f.
  • 2 butter a 13x9-inch baking dish.
  • 3 in a large mixing bowl combine the cottage cheese, sour cream, milk and half of the melted butter (1/4 cup).
  • 4 in another bowl whisk together eggs, sugar and vanilla; add to the cheese mixture, mix until blended.
  • 5 add in the cooked noodles and raisins; mix with wooden spoon to combine.
  • 6 transfer to the prepared baking dish.
  • 7 drizzle the remaining 1/4 cup butter over the mixture.
  • 8 in a small cup mix together 2 tablespoons sugar with 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon then sprinkle over the top.
  • 9 bake for about 1 hour or until lightly browned.
