Chicken-mac Casserole

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
  • 6 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
  • 2 cups cubed cooked chicken
  • 1 (2 7/8 ounce) can french-fried onions
  • 1 (10 1/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 375 degrees. return hot macaroni to saucepan, stri in bacon, chicken and 1/2 can french fried onions.
  • 2 in medium bowl, combine soup, sour cream, spinach, garlic powder and 1 cup cheddar cheese.
  • 3 spoon half the macaroni mixture into greased 8x12-inch baking dish; cover with half the spinach mixture. repeat layers.
  • 4 bake, covered, at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until heated through.
  • 5 top with remaining cheese and onions. bake, uncovered, 3 minutes or until the onions are golden brown.
