Chicken Tortellini

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced in strips (fairly large ones)
  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen cheese tortellini
  • 2 cups milk or 2 cups cream (give or take depending on how much sauce you like)
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded swiss cheese
  • pepper

Recipe

  • 1 cook tortellini according to package directions, drain and rinse.
  • 2 brown chicken strips in olive oil in large skillet.
  • 3 melt the butter and stir in flour to make roux.
  • 4 whisk in cream, garlic, salt, pepper and onions.
  • 5 cook on low until sauce thickens, stirring occasionally and stir in swiss cheese.
  • 6 drain off oil from chicken and add tortellini and sauce to skillet.
  • 7 mix together and serve.
