Chinese Beef & Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups rice
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 4 celery ribs, chopped
  • 2 green peppers, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 in a large skillet, cook the rice in oil over medium heat, stirring, until golden brown.( about 7 minutes.).
  • 2 add salt, water, bouillon and soy sauce.
  • 3 cover tightly and simmer 20 minutes.
  • 4 brown ground beef. drain.
  • 5 stir meat, onions, celery and green pepper into rice.
  • 6 cover and simmer 10 minutes longer or until all liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
