Chili Skillet Meal

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (15 ounce) can dark red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 1/2 cups macaroni noodles, uncooked
  • parmesan cheese

Recipe

  • 1 brown the ground beef in a large, deep skillet and drain off the fat.
  • 2 add the tomato sauce, tomatoes, beans, chili powder, garlic salt and beef broth to the skillet and stir well to combine.
  • 3 stir in the uncooked macaroni, cover and simmer for about 15 minutes or until the liquid is absorbed and the macaroni is tender.
  • 4 remove from the heat and grate parmesan cheese over the top if desired. replace lid for a few minutes to let the cheese melt and serve!
