Creamy Rice Salad With Country Ham And Peas

Ingredients

  • 2 cups long-grain rice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup diced country-style ham (1/4 lb. thick cut)
  • 3/4 cup frozen peas, thawed
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce, plus extra for serving

Recipe

  • 1 in a medium saucepan, combine the rice, salt, and 3 cups water.
