Cream Of Millet

Total Time: 13 mins Preparation Time: 3 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 1
  • 3 tablespoons whole millet (ground to make 1/4 c flour)
  • 1 cup water (divided)
  • 1/8-1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 tablespoon margarine or 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 bring 3/4 c of water to boil in a small saucepan.
  • 2 mix remaining 1/4 c water with millet, salt and cinnamon; add to saucepan.
  • 3 stir thoroughly, bring to a boil again and reduce to a simmer.
  • 4 cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 5 add butter and vanilla after pot is removed from the flame.
