Cheesy Noodles And Mushrooms

Ingredients

- 1 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1/4 cup melted butter or 1/4 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup sliced green onion
- 1 (8 ounce) package medium egg noodles
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup half-and-half cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
Recipe
- 1 saute mushrooms in butter until tender.
- 2 add onion and green onion; cook 2 minutes; set aside.
- 3 cook noodles according to package directions; drain and return immediately to saucepan.
- 4 add remaining ingredients except sauteed vegetables and parsley; cook over low heat until cheese melts, stirring constantly.
- 5 add sauteed vegetables, stirring gently.
- 6 sprinkle with parsley, and serve immediately.
